CELAC hasn't generated much reporting by the Anglo-US corporate press. Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños, CELAC (link) is a joint effort by Latin America & the Caribbean states to build new synergies. The European Union is a key model. The CELAC group seeks to build a more independent regionalism & end imperial interference, working to strengthen peace, security and economic opportunity for the nearly 600 million people of the region.
